Here's to a lighter, healthier, Friday!

Well ya'll its Friday! Congratulations on making it through another week. For me this is a big step because I have successfully made it through week one of my life transformation. I did a lot better yesterday with my diet so maybe weighing everyday is just what I need because not losing any weight motivated me to do better. I ate a lot healthier yesterday and I didnt do any designated workout but I went to WalMart and grocery shopped for two and a half hours so that has to count for some kind of exercise right?!?! I bought nothing but healthy food, so even though I know I have his support, if Eric doesnt want to lose weight and get healthy with me, he kind of has no choice now! Haha!

When I weighed this morning, I had lost 2.6 pounds since I weighed yesrterday!! WOO HOO!! That means a total of 7.8 pounds since July 10, 2012. On a side note, Eric just messaged me and said since he started changing his lifestyle on 7 21, 2012, he has lost 6 pounds! I am so proud of both of us!

I am going after work to meet my mom and two sisters to pick out my baby sister's debutante dress. It seems like just yesterday I was picking out my dress, but it has been 6 years! I am so proud of the woman she is becoming. Here's a picture of me in my dress... and skinnier:

I wanted to share some quotes from a friend's blog that put into words exactly how I am feeling and thinking. I was brought to tears when I read this:

"I don't remember not being fat- it is who I am. Who am I if I am skinny? Losing my fat is like losing part of my identity." "I know who I am as a fat girl but I don't know who I am as a skinny girl and that for some reason is scary."
-Johanna Eppley

This girl is amazing and took the words right out of my mind!

Well as always thanks for reading. I will do my best to remember to update this through the weekend! But if not I will talk to ya'll Monday!

Lots of Love,
Sara (The Biggest Loser Reject)

  2. I'm loving reading these, Sara. Your Walmart trip was a smart move---get all the junk out of the house and keep only healthy options for meals and snacking. And get rid of the word DIET. What you are doing is not a diet, it is finding new, healthier choices that you like and can live with for the rest of your life. Never stop experimenting! Hope you can see these---not sure I've figured out how to post without joining Google or something. aunt robin
