First day of the rest of my life

Ok so here goes. This is my first blog ever so hang with me. I got on the scale one day and do you know what it said??? 291 pounds! I almost had a heart attack. I have not been overweight my whole life until the last several years. I knew I was overweight but had no idea it was that bad! I decided then and there that I refused to let myself get to 300 pounds. I got online and applied to be on The Biggest Loser season 14. This past Saturday, 7/21/12, I went to Dallas and stood in line for 6 hours to audition. That night I waited and waited for a callback, hoping for the chance of a lifetime. Well I fell asleep and the next morning I had no missed calls. So I picked myself up and decided I can do this on my own. Fast forward a couple days and here we are! I started really paying attention to my diet on July 10th. At that time I weight 291.2 pounds..... Wow that hurts to say. I have been tracking my calories thanks to the app called MyFitnessPal. I have also started introducing small (and I mean almost nothing) amounts of exercise into my daily routine. Did you know that playing darts is consider a cardio exercise?!?!?! I can do that! Well, as of this morning I weigh 286.2 pounds. Guess what that means!?! The first 5 pounds are gone!!!! YAY I feel so good! People have already said they can see a difference in my face. I can't yet but the fact that other people can makes me feel amazing!!! I never ever want to see two hundred and ninety anything on the scale EVER again!!! So I will post again tomorrow. I have decided to weigh myself everyday. I read "20 habits of skinny people" and it said to weigh everyday because if you gain weight or stay the same, you will be accountable for your actions the day before and know not to do it again, and if you lose weight, you will be motivated for the whole day like I am today! My husband and I have decided to purchase an elliptical machine for our house so after we do that, I will start posting about my adventures with that. I mainly did this blog to track my progress, mood, and weight loss from day to day so I could go back in years to come and relive the memories. I hope I also touch some lives and inspire people to become healthy themselves!

With love,
Sara (The Biggest Loser 14 Reject)
